Pesticides: Poland bans import of products containing residues of 4 active substances

Poland has published a national measure imposing a ban on products containing five active substances (carbendazim, benomyl, glufosinate, methyl thiophanate). These were also included in the French decree.

This will apply from 3 April 2026 for a period of one year.

Please find a list of the active substances and products in question:

  • Carbendazim and Benomyl: grapefruit, orange, lemon, lime, clementine, tangerine, apple, pear, quince, medlar, Japanese medlar, apricot, cherry, peach, plum, table grape, wine grape, mango.
  • Glufosinate: papaya, tomato, eggplant, okra, Brussels sprouts, beans with pods, peas with pods, mushroom, barley, oats, rye, wheat, potato, grapefruit.
  • Methyl thiophanate: orange, lemon, lime, clementine, tangerine, apple, pear, quince, medlar, Japanese medlar, apricot, cherry, peach, plum, grapes for winemaking, mango, papaya, tomato, eggplant, okra, melon, pumpkin, watermelon, Brussels sprouts, barley, oats, rye, wheat, other pome fruits.
